Our continuos sammying machine for sole leather is a heavy-duty and versatile machine for drying leather butts and bends.
High production capacity and the improved resistance of the working rollers are the main features of this new model besides:

• Monolithic structure of welded stabilized steel;
• Operating cylinders of large diameter covered with electrolytic copper and provided with big and stout bearings and supports;
• Tank for collection of the tanning solution let out by the hide;
• Hydraulic drying pressure adjustable up to 65T;
• The working rollers are operated by means of a hydraulic gear motor which speed can be adjusted continuously from 0 to 14 m/1';
• Stainless steel tables and guards;
• Easy replacement of the felt sleeves;
• Automatic device for stretching out the felt sleeves to guarantee their longer life;
• Felt washing system;
• The power consumption is limited, only 15 kW;
• The hide feed-in area is protected by a sensitive safety guard;

On the GBL continuos sammying machine for sole leather has been studied and integrated, in the structure of the machine, a new system of measuring of leather thickness to meet many tanners' needs.
This leather thickness meter is very important for a better rational production of sole leather because, after the pressing, it allows to make a detailed choice of the leathers on the grounds of their real thickness, right from this phase of working. This allows to direct the pressed leather to the following phases of working, rationalising the production, economising remarkably on the scraps of shaving, and, therefore, increasing the weight of the finished product.
The main features of the leather thickness meter are:

• Data processing electronic central that makes 4 types of thickness measuring to choose, or rather:

A. Continuos real (meter) reading of thickness;
B. (meter) reading of minimum value pointed out of leather thickness;
C. (meter) reading of maximum value pointed out of leather thickness;
D. (meter) reading of medium value pointed out of leather thickness;

• - wide display of visualisation, 56 mm of length, easy-reading, that maintain the effected reading just to the working of the next leather;
• it's possible to effect the reading of the thickness of the leather on the portion of the leather and on a favourite length;
• sensible appliance for the great-reliability measuring with a precision of +/- 1 tenth of millimetre;
• field of measuring of the thickness from 1 mm to 10 mm (a widening on particular request is available);
• pneumatic pistons with double piston-rod and with a measuring roller made of Bakelite and a mortised counter-roller of support on the leather made in Bakelite;
• low consumption of electric energy and air compress;
• electronic equipment protect on a watertight cupboard.

Machine with spreading folds system specially built for to working of whole shoulders and butts.

You can read its main features in the booklet "sammying". The features of the spearing folds system are:

hydraulic motion of belt carrier. Its speed is proportional to the speed of the pressing rollers.

roller with inox steel blades which spreads and opens the folds of the Ieather in order to reach a perfect pressing. You can regulate the sleeker roller by a Iever, according to the Ieather thickness.

you can regulate the working pressure of the spearing folds roller by a hand wheel and a control pressure-gauge.

you can choose automatic or manual work system. Automatic: a photoelectric celI sets the sleeker roller in motion, when the Ieather comes. Manual: the operator sets the sleeker roller in motion by a control pedal.

you can work without the intervention of the spearing fold roller, if it is not necessary.
